Former President Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden, said during an interview on Wednesday that he wasn't running for office, despite his many recent public appearances.
Barstool Sports' "Macrodosing" podcast host, known as Big Tennessee, said, "As I see you making the rounds, it just seems like a guy who might want to run for something. And then I saw you come in the building today."
The host said his introductions as he entered the building were "of somebody that wants to run."

"I'm definitely not running for anything," Biden said, joking that if he secured the Barstool host's endorsement he might.

"Those were the introductions of a politician," the host added.
The former president's son has made numerous appearances on podcasts in the last few months.

Biden has appeared on NPR's "Newsmakers," and the podcasts of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Don Lemon and "I've Had It," as well as those of far-right figures.
Newsom joked during Hunter's interview on his show that he was a 2028 presidential candidate, and said the ex-president's son had a lot of buzz.

The former president's son also fiercely defended his father during the "Macrodosing" podcast, and attributed then-President Biden's weak 2024 debate performance to having cancer.
JILL BIDEN SAYS SHE THOUGHT JOE WAS HAVING A STROKE DURING HIS DISASTROUS 2024 DEBATE PERFORMANCE
"My dad walked out and he literally, for the first time in my life, I’ve ever seen this, he looked like a deer in the headlights. He looked blank. And what do I attribute that to?… I mean, we didn’t find out until nine months later that he not only had stage four prostate cancer, but he had stage four metastatic bone cancer, which means that it had been metastasizing for over a three-year period of time," he said.
Biden's cancer diagnosis was not revealed until last year.
Hunter Biden said during the interview that his father's debate appearance was a complete surprise to him, and said he hadn't seen him like that until that night.
Biden also claimed he hadn't seen his father like that since. Shortly before he left office, President Biden pardoned his son in late 2024 ahead of his sentencing for tax evasion and federal gun charges.

Hunter Biden also told the hosts of the "I've Had It" podcast in July that his father's greatest mistake was appointing Merrick Garland to be his attorney general.

"My take is this, and removing myself from it as much as I can, my personal feelings, is the single greatest mistake of my father's administration was the leadership of Merrick Garland," Hunter Biden said.
