Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., trashed President Donald Trump's new Iran memorandum of understanding (MOU) Sunday, calling the agreement an "abject surrender" and saying Trump is the "biggest loser" on the world stage after ending the war with Tehran.

Booker said that Trump deserved no credit for trying to end a war that Democrats accused him of mishandling from the start.

"They know that they've won this, and they know Donald Trump is perhaps, on the world stage right now, the biggest loser with egg on his face," Booker said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

WHY TRUMP, IRAN SEEM LIGHT-YEARS APART ON ANY POSSIBLE DEAL TO END THE WAR

NBC's Garrett Haake asked Booker about NBC News reporting that U.S. intelligence officials were warning Israel could take steps to undermine the emerging agreement.

"These are two failed world leaders, and yes, we should be very worried about both of these leaders continuing to upend any kind of viable pathway to peace in the Middle East," Booker said of Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

"These are both failed leaders that I cannot wait until they're off the world stage."

The New Jersey Democrat said he voted eight times to end the war and argued that the memorandum of understanding rewarded Iran while leaving the U.S. with fewer options.

"Let's be clear. I do not support this deal that he made, which was an abject surrender," Booker said.

"This is a guy who said he's a great negotiator, but right now Iran has billions and billions of dollars of benefits," Booker said.

"It's almost as if American dollars, American resources, are now going to be used to help rebuild Iran while we are continuing to carry the bill for it," he continued.

Booker argued Trump surrendered U.S. leverage and failed to accomplish the goals he set out to achieve at the start of the conflict.

"What the world needs now is leadership, but from our Middle East allies to our NATO allies, I'm hearing over and over again, 'Your president is a danger to the world,'" Booker said.

GOP BLOCKS BOOKER-LED PUSH TO CURB TRUMP'S MILITARY AUTHORITY IN IRAN

Haake played a clip of Democratic strategist James Carville arguing Trump deserved some credit for ending the war rather than escalating it further.

"We started a war, and we surrendered. Let's be very clear about that," Carville said in the clip. "And let's give Trump credit where credit's due."

Booker rejected the argument.

"That's like giving somebody credit for literally an arsonist starting a fire and getting credit for running out of the burning building," Booker said.

He then turned his criticism toward Congress, accusing Republicans of allowing Trump to prosecute the war without sufficient pushback before objecting to the final agreement.

"I’m really sorry that congressional Republicans from the start of this war has allowed him to do everything he wanted to do, and now they’re crying foul because they don’t like the results," Booker said. "Shame on Congress."

When reached for comment, White House spokeswoman Olivia Wales told Fox News Digital, "Following the historic destruction of Iran’s military capabilities through the successful Operation Epic Fury, President Trump and his negotiating team have brokered an excellent, performance-based MOU that advances the interests of the United States by ending the fighting, reopening the Strait of Hormuz to significantly lower energy prices, and forcing Iran to commit to abandon its nuclear ambitions. What the President has achieved on the battlefield and at the negotiating table is nothing short of remarkable and will strengthen American security for many years to come."
